Ghanaian hiplife artiste, KiDi has responded to Mr. Drew's displeasure about losing the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Best Collaboration of the Year award to him.
In a new 3music meeting, Mr. Drew communicated his disappointment, stating his tune "Case Remix" was the most vibrant in that award category. He contended that enlisting an upcoming artiste on a song and making such a massive hit should have gotten him the award, stating, "No single record was greater or more effective than 'Case Remix' having Mophty on it. Regardless of his displeasure, Mr. Drew congratulated KiDi for being able to win such an award. KiDi on the other hand posted a snide response video on X, apparently ridiculing Mr. Drew's comment.
"I was disheartened not to win the award. No tune was greater or more significant than 'Case Remix' in the best collaboration category. To bring out an artiste that no one knew and for such a song to turn that huge and change the two artistes' lives is the effect we are searching for. Isn't that what collaboration means? It didn't sound good to me," he said.
